Mom's Club Sorority

I thought I might start out my new blog with some controversy.

A few months ago I signed up to be in this Yahoo Mom's Group in hopes that my son and I could meet some people. The whole thing just turned out to be some high school click that I never felt I was a part of. Yesterday, I unsubbed myself from the group and in textbook high school fashion, the gossip started to spread as to why I would unsub and who pissed me off. The whole thing was a loaded crock of nonesense.

For the record, I unsubbed because I am beyond being in a popularity contest. I unsubbed because the posts were stupid. If little Jessica has started to wet the bed again and you want to put her back in diapers because you are tired of doing laundry, get off your lazy butt, take care of it and don't be an enabler by having her wear diapers again. I don't need 45 jpeg photos of little Billy in his highchair with spaghetti on his face. Leave that for Grandma who will appreciate it. And I don't care that Veronica took her first step. She was going to eventually. If she wasn't walking then we have something to talk about.

Don't get me wrong...I love children. But is it newsworthy to report to 50 women that Joey put a carrot in his water to make it look like a melted snowman? My son wrote his name in poo on the tile bathroom wall. Isn't that the cutest thing?
